Uniform for school

We are looking forward to welcoming all our pupils back to school on Wednesday 3rd September.  Would parents please check the uniform information below to ensure that all our pupils are ready for a positive start to the new school year.

Boys Uniform

Plain black trousers of a conventional material and style to match the blazer and ‘school’ style (not combat style or jeans).
Plain buttoned front white shirt with collar of a conventional material and ‘school’ style with buttons to collar
Black blazer of a conventional material, style and length with school badge and worn with the sleeves down.
Plain black shoes of a conventional practical and safe style and material covering the heel and toe e.g. not trainers, plimsolls or canvas shoes.  Plain grey/black socks.
Plain outdoor coat of a conventional style and material e.g. not denim, leather or military.  Hooded tops are NOT suitable alternatives to outdoor coats and will be removed from pupils if worn.

Girls Uniform

Plain black skirt or trousers of a conventional material and style to match the blazer.
‘School’ style, trousers must not be combat, jean or other fashion type) Skirts must be worn at knee length.
Plain buttoned front white shirt with collar of a conventional material and ‘school’ style with buttons to the collar, worn tucked into trousers or skirt.
Black blazer conventional material and length with school badge and worn with the sleeves down.
Plain black shoes of a conventional practical and safe style and material covering the heel and toe. E.g. not trainers, plimsolls or canvas shoes.  Plain conventional grey/black socks or plain natural/black tights.
Plain outdoor coat of a conventional and material e.g. not denim, leather or military.  Hooded tops are NOT suitable alternatives to outdoor coats and will be removed from pupils if worn.

Jewellery and Make-up

The only allowed jewellery is:

  • watch
  • one small ring
  • one pair of small, plain, metal earring studs in the lobes of pierced ears

Other facial and body piercings are NOT allowed and plasters and retainers will not be permitted.
Make-up must be worn very discretely.
Nail polish is not permitted.

Hair

Extremes of fashion in hair styles, including obvious colourant are not accepted.  Inappropriate styles would include: – shaved, patterned, Mohican or dyed red for example.

Accessories

Fashion belts, scarves, hoodies, etc should not be worn.
