On Tuesday 4 March, six Sixth Form Students from Colonel Frank Seely accompanied by Miss Farmer, Head of Business, travelled to Leicester to take part in the regional heat of the ICAEW’s National Business, Accounting and Skills Education competition. Students had the chance to develop employability skills, meet professionals and win prizes whilst working through an engaging business challenge, convincing the respected professional judges that their recommendations were the best. The CFS team were successful enough to make it through to the semi-finals where they had to present their business challenge to over 150 students and a board of financial accountants. After great deliberation by the panel it was announced that the CFS team had just been beaten by a narrow margin and had been placed 2nd out of the 11 teams taking part, which included independent schools, grammar schools and large academies. This is a fantastic achievement for our local school. Congratulations to all the students that took part.
