There are several pieces of information that can be useful to parents regarding admissions to Colonel Frank Seely Academy.
Applying for a Year 7 place at Colonel Frank Seely Academy
You will know on “National Offer Day” (1 March 2018) whether or not your child has a place at Colonel Frank Seely Academy. Once the LEA informs you that a place has been awarded, the school will ensure that the transition occurs painlessly.
- Visits by the Senior Head of House and members of the team to every primary schools to meet pupils occur in May and June.
- An induction programme takes place in the Summer Term so that the pupils who are allocated a place can get to know the school. Pupils will be invited to the school induction day and a targeted Summer School. When pupils arrive in September they will be met by the Senior Head of House and the team and will take part in the induction process. All pupils will be involved in a visit to Nottingham University to share the school’s vision and mission.
- Pupils with special needs have an extended induction – working with members of the Learning Support Team from the school.
- Parents are invited to the induction evening in July to receive all the necessary information needed to ensure the transition to secondary school in smooth
