Extreme Reading

As of September, we are going to introduce DEAR time.

DEAR stands for Drop Everything And Read. This will be a feature of our new tutor time activities. We’ll be asking all pupils to bring an appropriate reading book to school every day to enjoy during DEAR times. You can also use our library if you wish.

To launch DEAR, we are going to be doing something that requires a bit of imagination and a book. We are going to be doing ‘EXTREME READING’, which is where you take a picture of yourself (maybe even with family members too) reading in interesting places/situations.

When you have taken the picture, you can email it into the school (cfs.facebook@cfs.notts.sch.uk) with your name and tutor group and we will put it into our Facebook Album for all to see. There will also be a monthly competition where the best one will be chosen and a prize will be won. This month, the prize is a £10 Amazon voucher.

So, get your book, get reading and get snapping. Just how extreme will your reading be?!
