Summer Building Work
Over the summer, a £150,000 plus refurbishment programme is being undertaken, funded by the Redhill Academy Trust. The refurbishment will improve facilities for students and staff in Maths, Science, English, Music and Drama. Classroom renovations will have new ceilings, lighting, blinds, decoration, flooring and classroom furniture, as well as Music technology equipment in the new Performing Arts Suite. We are also using displays around the school to showcase the talent of our students as well as underpinning CFS Character.
All students at Colonel Frank Seely Academy, from Year 7 to Year 11, wear uniform. The wearing of a uniform makes an important contribution to the tone and reputation of the academy. We like students to come here looking smart and business-like and ready to work. If you are replacing uniform for your child during the summer holidays, please ensure that the items you are purchasing conform to our uniform guidelines. In particular, could you ensure that any trousers and shoes conform to the new Uniform Policy that has been in place from September 2018. All students are expected to be wearing our branded grey trousers/skirts and these should be purchased from one of our preferred suppliers. Please be aware that sanctions will be put in place for any students returning to school with incorrect uniform.
INSET Days for 2019/2020 are: –
Monday 2 September 2019
Friday 4 October 2019
Thursday 30 January 2020
Friday 26 June 2020

I would also like to thank the governing body for all their hard work and tireless championing of our academy. To the school leadership teams for all their efforts in ensuring students have a school environment that inspires and challenges them. I would also like to thank all the staff – both teaching and support staff – who make this academy, the terrific academy it is and a wonderful place of work and learning.
Congratulations to our students too who deserve to succeed. As the new academic year approaches, I am excited about our journey and making excellence a habit. Your partnership in this journey is so very important and I look forward to continuing to work with you and providing your child with an education they can be proud of.
I wish you all a pleasant and enjoyable summer.
