On Thursday 27th November a packed hall of pupils, friends and families watched the CFS Charity Show, a night of music, dancing, comedy and more!
The Charity Show aimed to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that is particularly important to our school. To open the show, Year 13 pupil Alex Brown spoke about how the charity had supported him when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Acts from Year 7 all the way through to Year 13 took part in the show and there was even an appearance from Mr Gray. The ‘Bush Tucker Trial’ that he volunteered to take part in involved him eating a whole lemon, a giant chilli and a disgusting milkshake!
Stand out performances came from three Year 7 pupils – Annabel Harley played piano and sang ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, Holly Rogers played piano and sang ‘Lay Me Down’ by Sam Smith, and Corrine Woolhouse sang ‘The Show’ by Lenka. A number of audience members said they could not believe these pupils were “only in Year 7”!
By the end of the night we had raised £600.75 for a great cause. A huge well done to everyone involved!
